SOMALIA: Al Shabab claims Mogadishu suicide car bomber

Mogadishu (RBC) Al Shabab claims responsibility of suicide car bomber which struck hotel Muna in Hamarweine district in Somalia capital, Mogadishu.
At least 12 people were killed while 15 others wounded in the attack. One Parliament member was also hurt sources told RBC Radio.
A TOYOTA car loaded with explosives struck small cafeteria near Muna hotel on today afternoon, eye witnessestold RBC Radio.
“The target was the hotel” says Al Shabab run radio.
“The explosion was a land mine which was set up in the area” Al Shabab spokesman, Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Mus’ab said in a press conference.
He claimed that more security officials andparliamentarians were killed in the blast.
Abu Mus’ab mentioned that Al Shabab will continue targeting Somalia lawmakers because of “their drafting constitution” against Allah’s religion.
Meanwhile Al Shabab was quoted saying that the suicide bomber was among those dead.
On the other hand Benadir regional police commissioner Col. Ahmed Hassan Malin said the victims of the attack were all civilians.
“We can confirm that the victims are all civilians” Col Malin said in a brief press conference later today “They were all those in small nearby cafeteria” .
Muna hotel is resided by hundreds of Somalia parliament members and some of government officials.
