SOMALIA: Heegan FC defeats Sahafi, as Banaadir Telecom crashes Badbaado
Mogadishu (RBC) With Somalia’s 2012 soccer championship entering its 3rd week the Heegan FC boys have taken on the Sahafi Hotel FC in a hotly-contested match at the Somali University Stadium on Friday.
The match was very competitive and in the early minutes of the match each team stepped up its struggle for a win, but unfortunately none of them happened to score in the first half of the match which ended in 0-0 equality, but in the 52nd minute of the second half Striker Jibril Hassan scored the lone goal for his team which defeated Sahafi in 1-0.
Mean while on Thursday the Banadir Sports Club humiliated the new comer Badbaado FC by 3-0. It is for the first time that Badbaado FC plays in the division A Somali League.
Wednesday was a rest day, but on Tuesday the LLPP Jeenyo-Horseed clash ended in a goalless draw. This year’s Somali soccer championship is totally different from the previous competitions, because most matches played so far ended in draw and that shows that all teams made great preparations for the tournament so far.
