BREAKING NEWS: Suicide explosion hits Mogadishu

Mogadishu (RBC) At least one person was killed and three others, among a woman and traditional elder was seriously wounded after suicide bomber hit a busy market in Hamarweyne district in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu on this Monday morning, RBC Radio reports.
Initial reports say that the suicide bomber, possibly a young man was driving TOYOTA car and blew himself in front of the busy clothes mall at Hamarweyne market, which is few metres away from the National Theatre. The suicide bomber is reportedly killed in the blast.
A foreigner arrested in suspicion
Gen Abdukarim Yusuf Aden Dhagabadan who is the leading officer of Somalia’s National Army who reached the place told RBC Radio that the security forces arrested at least a foreign person who was found near the explosion scene.
“We can not confirm his identity but we are probing his case now. we transferred to the National Security Agency.” Gen Dhagabadan told RBC Radio.
RBC Radio’s Mohamed Sheikh reports that armed security forces were deployed into the place and blocked all the directions.
“The damaged TOYOTA vehicle which is thought to be used for the explosion can be seen at the scene still.” our correspondent added.
No group have yet claimed the responsibility of the blast. The bombing came just days before the opening of the National Constituency Assembly gathering which is due to convene in the next week in the capital.
