| Description | Dear Sir/Madam,
The ILO is launching a request for Expression of Interest (EOI) to identify a pool of service providers to support the implementation of projects in Somalia. The services will be requested gradually according to the needs of the activities implemented by the ILO Somalia Programme which works under the auspice that while lasting peace in Somalia depends on a wide range of measures, critical among them is access to decent work and livelihoods as it helps to re-orient people’s minds from conflict reaffirming the dignity of the individual and re-establishing societal norms. ILO’s approach has been to enable an immediate and positive development process addressing the prevailing infrastructure, livelihoods and employment crisis to be set in motion, unlocking the economic recovery process. The programme is built on the Decent Work Programme within the three principles of: - Employment and peace building, - Employment and poverty reduction, and - Dignity through employment.
