Kenya: Police recover cache of weapons in Nairobi
Nairobi (RBC) police in Nairobi on Friday found and displayed a cache of weapons suspected to have been accumulated for a terrorist act in a house in the Somalis populated Eastliegh village.
As RBC Reporter who went to the scene confirms, the police recovered twelve grenades, six bombs, five AK-47 rifles and several ammunition during the police operation in Eastleigh’s 2nd Avenue.
Two suspects were detained following the police operation in Eastliegh.
Police are now holding two suspects of Somali by nationality for questioning at anti-terror police custody.
The police mentioned and threatened that they will carry out a search out operation in eastleigh and will ransack the village house to house to secure the security of Nairobi.
As a result, residents in Eastliegh startle and fear a police swoop to be carried out.
