Somalia: Rockets and mortar shells rain down on Mogadishu
Mogadishu (RBC) at least five people were killed and 10 others were wounded after missiles threw at residential areas of the capital Mogadishu on Wednesday night.
The villages Shibis and Boondheer are the areas where the missiles and the rockets hit and many internal displaced people are among the victims including a pregnant mother.
All the wounded people were taken to Kaisaney hospital for treatment although some sustained serious injuries.
These villages are among of the last seized areas by the allied forces from Al-shabab militias who withdrew Mogadishu a year ago.
No one claimed the responsibility of the last night mortar shells despite Mogadishu is fully controlled by the Transitional federal government forces and African union peace keeping forces.
No officials commented on the missiles targeted at the residential refuges and shelters in the capital Mogadishu on Wednesday night.
On the other hand, sporadic clashes erupted last night in Arafad residence of Yaaq shiid village in Mogadishu between the allied forces and unknown gunmen. No casualties reported.
The situation of the city is calm this morning and everything came to normal after last night horrifying attacks.
