Kismayo (RBC) reports we are getting from the port city of kismayo, the regional capital city of lower Jubba region say that sporadic rocket fire and missiles landed at Yaak Sanmoja location about 60km to the west kismayo.

Local residents in the seaside of kismayo told RBC that about 15 mortar shells have rocked in the outskirts of the city hitting the mountains surrounding the city which believed to have fired from BM machinegun. No casualties reported.

Tension is high as Al-shabab officials ordered the residents in the city not to leave and flee and told to defend the city from the infidels and the stooges followed.

Mean while, Al-shabab has deployed many forces to the city mostly from lower Shabelle region and there are heavy presences of soldiers in the city despite earlier there were reports that Al-shabab abandoned kismayo.

Sources say that the forces entered kismayo last night with armored trucks and anti-aircrafts weaponry.

The group withdrew from many parts of the city a couple of days ago following an offensive by the Somali government troops and Kenyan defense forces in the last 3 days and as they relocated their wives and children in order not to be caught in the fighting.

Unconfirmed reports say that some Al-shabab high profile officers escorted by armored trucks reached on Wednesday today Diin-Soor district of Bai region which is still under Al-shabab control.

Currently the allied forces backed by the Rasganbone militias (A clan based militias) are in the frontline and battling against al-shabab until kismayo falls under their control.

No group has claimed the accountability of today’s shelling but obviously it seems that Kenyan fighter jets being behind for the attacks as they did in the past.
