Somalia: President Hassan Sh. Mohamud meets Somali Diasporas in Uganda
Kampala (RBC) the newly-elected Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who is in Uganda for visit has on Tuesday night met with the Somali communities living in Uganda, Kampala.
The president called on all the Somali communities living in Uganda and all other Diasporas living across the globe to play a good roll in rebuilding their country and befalling peace and tranquility to their home land.
He accentuated that it is inevitable the Somali communities in general to involve the country’s progress and to have suggestion, finance and endorsement in rebuilding the country.
‘’ Remember that the country needs you and you are the back bone. Therefore you should support the new government, the change and the transition process.’’ Said the President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Some of the organizers and participants of the party mentioned that they are happy with the peaceful transition and the new dawn to the horn of Africa nation.
The Somali communities in Uganda have cheered and welcomed the arrival of President Hassan to Uganda and they acknowledged him.
They urged him to eradicate the wide spread corruption, to be a loyal leader, and have a tolerance in order his government to achieve.
The ceremony which is mobilized by the Somali community in Uganda was the first of it is kind that to be held apart from the supportive parties held by other Somali Diasporas across the globe when the new president was elected on 10th September.
A delegation led by the president of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohmud have reached on Monday to Uganda and it is the first out side trip since Somalia lawmakers elected him as country’s president on 10th September.
