Cabdi Faarax Shirdoon oo loo magacaabay raysul wasaaraha dalka

The London-based TV Somali Channel interviewed the new PM,  Abdi Farah Shirdoon, when he he lived in Kenya. The interview gives insights into the PM’s views on Somalia.He said he established Rajo (Hope) Forum in 2006:

  • “When foreign troops [ Ethiopia] invaded Somalia, when we saw in Somali other flags than Somalia’s “
  • “We don’t 17,000 soldiers from different countries. people more powerful than them ( AMISOM). We don’t need them”
  • “They were not invited into |Somalia, or they did not come here because Somalia needed”
  • “I don’t think Somaliland or pro-federal states are anti-Somalia. Circumstances have caused their situations”
  • “The peace process and road map are not enough , we need a Somali-owned process”
  • “I don’t want to disappoint people but frankly speaking the roadmap leads to no where”
