CAIRO, (RBC Radio) Djibouti foreign minister Mahmoud Ali Yusuf had accused the Eritrean government of training and arming Somali rebel militia groups in order to destabilize its government and spread chaos.
During his visit in Cairo, The minister had warned Eritrea to stop all armed efforts to create chaos in the horn of Africa.
“Eritrea is exporting chaos. Exporting chaos has become routine in Eritrea,” Djibouti’s foreign minister Mahmoud Ali Youssef told reporters in Cairo after talks with Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.
“They have started training militias and arming them to carry out sabotage in Djibouti, just as they support elements in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia,” he added. The minister further accused Eritrea of supporting Somali group of Al-Shabab that Washington says linked to Al-Qaeda.
Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki blamed Djibouti, Kenya and Ethiopia for interfering in Somalia’s internal political affairs, which he said has led to Somalia’s instability.
The international community has often accused Eritrea of supporting Islamic insurgents who have vowed to overthrow the Somali government and warned a move to impose sanctions.
Tensions between Djibouti and Eritrea have been high since April 16, 2008 when Eritrean troops raided Ras Doumeira, which both sides claim, as it pursued deserters.

Eritrea has done nothing wrong. The problem in somalia is very clear and it’s not terrorism. The only thing Eritrea has been saying the only solution for Afirca’s stability, which is westerns to stop interfering in Africa which other african countries luck the gut to say so. All african leaders knew deep inside that Eritreas perspective is the right one but they don’t have the courage to say it. Eritrea gained it’s independence after a 30 year bitter war with out any ones help so it is not ready to bargain on it’s sovernighty. Shame on the rest of African leaders who don’t have their own belief but act like a pupet.
