Somalia: British Couples Reach Pirates Base of Harardhere (RBC NEWS)

HARARDHERE, (RBC Radio) Sources close to the Somali pirates holding the old British couples have confirmed that the two couples reached the coastal town of Harardhere 30 KM (18 miles) south of Hobyo, an other pirate town in the Mudug region.
One local resident in Harardhere told RBC Radio that the two British couples were onboard Singaporean container already the pirates hijacked from the Indian Ocean.
“They reached Friday night here (Harardhere coast) they are on the container, we saw them they are in a good healthy”, Ali Aden local resident said.
The pirates holding the couples did not claim any ransom still, but sources say they will demand on the coming hours.
The pirates leader called Hassan had warned that if the international naval forces attack them they will “cut off the hostages’ head”.
Harardhere, a port town in central Somalia is the second largest hub of the pirates. More than three vessels including Spanish fishing boat are anchored at the coast of Harardhere.
The couples’ yacht has already been found by the British navy, but no pirates had been detained.
