Al Shabab’s threat towards these countries is the second, the group has warned to attack Uganda and Burundi in the middle of this month.

But some say the group’s threat to Eritrea is new at this time.

Al Shabab, which US has said is an Al Qaeda proxy in Somalia controls most parts of the country.

But some say the groups threat to Eritrea is new at this time????
When and where did Suldan said that???

Eritrea only wants all somali people to decide by them self, without external factors like the USA and Ethiopia.

i’m sorry but whats driving eritrea to do something for somalia.. no body is really trying do something to help solve the problems in somalia. eritrea is playing a major role in distroying somali.. and now kenya has also joined the party… since the american soliders died in ‘93 the US has made sure theres no other stable government in somali.. theres offically no hope for somali.. but alshabab…

Al-Shaba is a religious political organization, its no different than the ethnocratic tribalist junta in Ethiopia. They are upset people disrupted their way of life, their threate against everyone is not a surprise, if Somali babies cannot be allowed to grow in safety, then it is acceptable for them to rant against everyone they think is behind the schem. Although this sounds like a real threat but it is no different than the previous administration’s rant against Eritrea followed by the current administration State Department.

Am not surprised on their words, but we should think if they are capable of or and what will Eritrea responde to, is the question and Eritrea tries all for the sake of the Somalies not against any the people. I hope they will consider it, if they said so. Peace to Somali people

Why is Al-shabab threatening Eritrea? The US has accused Eritrea of supplying numerous resources to commit terrorism and has aided terrorist by harboring them…etc. What i don’t understand is the current president of Somalia was on the terrorist list of US because he was the secondary leader of UIC, the Union of ISlamic court, which Eritrea supported at the time but the US sanctions Eritrea for supporting UIC, when itself picks a government of somalia to be sat by the leader of former learder and terrorist of UIC. Eritrea Supported UIC for the peace it brought to somalia with it’s moderate islamic laws. however hardliners like Al-Shabab and it’s faction Jamaa al Islamia is certainly something to reconsider because of their link to Al-Quaida. a known vicious terrorist group who Eritrea has encoutered by way of the Sudanese border. FYI Eritrea is not funding Al-shabab, As the US Secretary indicated they are being supported by Al-Qaida networks. all Eritrea wants is a comprehensive government supported by the people of somalia without distabalizing it further. Somalians are not harliner Muslims they don’t follow the Wahabi teachings of Al-Shabab…it can be said that they are quiet out of fear of execution.Eritrea should cut it’s ties with and not include them in the list of the comprehensive goverment of somalia But advocate for the Stability of Somalia…Unstable somalia is threat to the entire to us, our neighbors and the entire world as we have seen and as Eritrea is only few miles away from Somalia on land and maritime. I would reconsider defending Al shabab as the freedom fighters of Somalia. They have no political structure or even adherence to the laws they create. They are slowly but surely venerating the path of the Talibans of Afghanistan…threatening countries that they say are against Islam. If al-shabab is truely fighting for the somali people of right to determine their fate under the Sharia law…it should give the people it is fighting for a choice of being ruled by one type of Islamic ruling or theirs. Either way in my Opinion Al shabab has gone from youth fighting for Somalia’s people’s rights to taking them away. I mean you can not punish a thief if you have not created an economic relief for the thousands of somalies living in the south. right now I see no difference between Al-Shabab and Al-Qaida. Long live The people of Somalia and it diverse people. May GOD end the suffering of mothers,Fathers and Children by making somalia prosperous and peaceful.
